Location. Housed in a traditional Florentine mansion, the De Rose Palace is a boutique hotel with a period interior and is located in central Florence, within 700 metres of the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio. Florence Vespucci Airport is situated five kilometres away and takes approximately 20 minutes to reach by car.
Hotel Features. A buffet breakfast is served every morning in the De Rose Palace Hotel's traditional dining room, and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. In the evening, drinks are served in the lounge bar. The hotel's multilingual concierge is on hand to organise excursions, including walking, biking and hiking tours and city sightseeing. Other amenities include a massage service, currency exchange, room service and airport transfers (surcharge).
Guestrooms. The 18 air conditioned guestrooms feature traditional Florentine style decor with Murano glass lamps and parquet flooring. All include dial up Internet connections, satellite television, direct dial phones, minibars and ceramic tiled bathrooms complete with showers and telephones.
Expert Tip. The Uffizi Gallery, located 700 metres from the hotel, was founded in 1560 and houses one of the most important art collections in the world. Highlights include works by Boticcelli, Titian, Da Vinci and Michelangelo.

Getting there. By car, take A1 Motorway in the direction of Firenze Centro. Although the airport is very close to Florence, traffic can be bad in the city, so guests are advised to allow 20 minutes. The airport is a short taxi ride from town (costing 13 16 EUR) although it is also possible to take the half hourly bus, which runs to Santa Maria Novella Station, in the centre of Florence.
Driving directions. From the airport, follow signs for Centro Stazione, then continue to the Porta al Prato (Medicean Gate). With the gate on the left hand side, follow the road around it and take the first street on the right, Via il Prato. Continue for 200 metres and take the second street on the right, Via Garibaldi. Continue along Via Garibaldi, cross Via Montebello and continue to the next street, Via Solferino. The hotel is on the left hand side.
